It would be great to get some tips/thoughts on the above to see what else I could try to improve this script to suit my requirements. Unfolder is distributed with Blender (mesh>unfold) I stopped working on Unfolder after Blender 2.5 came out as I didn't have the time to convert it to the new API. Unfolder can also generate distortion-free UV maps and animate unfolding of meshes. I am also finding that sometimes my mesh creates unfolded/cutting lines which are definitely incorrect (Screenshot 2) I'm not sure what is causing these irregularities in my mesh - maybe the script doesn't like acute angles? My original 3D polyhedra brep is a closed polysurface. Unfolder unfolds meshes into SVG nets automatically, with optional manual guidance. Green lines are fold lines and Blue lines are the cut lines for the laser cutter.
